Jason “Mayhem” Moloney (26-2, 19 KOs) Defeats Filipino contender Vincent Astrolabio (18-4, 13 KOs) for the vacant WBO bantamweight world title in a Majority decision with judges scoring it 114-114, 115-113, 116-112 Moloney, a two-time world title challenger, has won five straight bouts since challenging pound-for-pound great Naoya Inoue.
During media week, Moloney expressed how important this opportunity would be not only for him, but his twin brother Andrew Moloney.
“This is a really special moment for us. I’ll be fighting to become world champion this weekend. And my brother, Andrew, will fight for a world title on the Haney vs. Lomachenko card as well.
