Gervonta Davis 24-0 23 knockouts is one of the most or thee most explosive puncher of all of boxing. A naturally gifted Phenom. A once in a generational natural talent in the sport of boxing. Tank is the goods. The only criticism in terms of his career is “what direction his promoter (mayweather promotion)is leading him too. 

Gervonta Davis last appearance in the ring was his super featherweight showdown vs Leo Santa Cruz in their first PPV debut. People questioned why fight the smaller man after stopping Yuriorkis Gamboa at lightweight (135). Also famously ballooning up in between fights. Which in the past Gervonta Got stripped from his IBF title at Super featherweight for missing weight. Also not making weight in the first try on the Gamboa vs Davis weigh in. Which wba gave him 2 hours to make weight, which he did. But it’s apparent Davis struggle with weight or he struggled with dedication and professionalism. 

Davis next fight which was announced recently will be in the super lightweight division vs Undefeated Wba regular champ Mario Barrio. Once again the pundits are questioning, what the hell is the direction mayweather promotion is leading Tank too. 

In reality at this point if fans take the time to recognize the pattern, you all would know that Mayweather promotion Leonard Ellerbe nor Floyd Mayweather nor Gervonta Davis promoted anything in terms of acquiring an all time great legacy. It’s all about the money and nothing else. 

One thing we can say is they’re not trying to insult our intelligence by stating they want anything else which leads to less frustration nor any expectations. 

Tank potential is worth to Pursuit a career that got hall of fame bound written all over it. But they got other plans which is not attractive to the fans liking. Maybe Tank’s business handlers see a potential self destruction athlete in which they need to milk Gervonta Davis ASAP or maybe they want Tank to campaign at 140 knowing that inevitably the other phenoms at lightweight such as Teofimo Lopez, Ryan Garcia, Devin Haney, Michel Rivera will move up. 

The questions will remain unanswered even before his next bout vs Mario barrio. WHAT DIRECTION IS GERVONTA DAVIS GOING? What’s the end game? What’s the real plan? Money or Legacy which eventually if you chase legacy money will chase you.
