Tony Harrison is a former WBC light middleweight champion who argued with Tim Tszyu during their face to face sitdown to promote their March 12th fight, that Tim Tszyu, an unbeaten Australian fighter, doesn’t deserve an undisputed title shot against Jermell Charlo, the current Undisputed WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBF light middleweight champion.
Harrison makes several arguments to support this claim, including Tszyu’s lack of top-ranked opponents on his record, his lack of experience fighting in the United States, his inactivity, his youth and relative inexperience compared to other fighters in the division, and his lack of experience fighting against opponents with the kind of knockout power that Charlo possesses. Overall, Harrison further suggest that Tszyu needs to prove himself against Harrison and be victorious March 12th before he can legitimately claim a shot at an undisputed title.
