Richardson Hitchins was just too good too sharp and too superior for John Bauza to overcome.
Hitchins delivered what looked to be a slip called a knocked down to start the fight, but there was no denying the 4th round knocked down he delivered with a precise straight hand. Only chance for Bauza to give himself a chance was to get in the inside and make it dirty but even when Bauza forced himself the discipline in the footwork and defense was just too superior.
Hitchins who is campaigning in arguably the deepest division at super welterweight will have the opportunity to test his potential greatness especially with the superstars at lightweight moving up like Gervonta Davis, Ryan Garcia, Devin Haney. Already Teofimo Lopez have made his presence felt with a win vs Sandor Martin which retired Mickey Garcia. Not to mention Josh Taylor and Regis Prograis still top dogs. Is safe to say we have to wait and see how special Hitchins is and no doubt he will have the opportunity to do so.
