Undefeated IBF Super middleweight Champion Caleb Plant continued to proclaim his intentions on becoming the first undisputed super middleweight champion in boxing history as the showdown against pound 4 pound King 3 belt unified champion Canelo Alvarez Is right around the corner Saturday November 6th live in SHOWTIME PPV at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Plant has made 3 successful title defenses after first capturing the title vs Jose Uzcategui and like back than which he was the underdog and beaten the odds. Plant looks to prove once again to the naysayers that he’s not here for a short season.
“I believe that there are a handful of things that I am better than Canelo at in the ring. But the only way to find out is to tune-in on November 6. It’s not going to matter what I say right now, people aren’t going to believe me anyway. I’d rather show you than tell you.
Many feel Canelo already got this in the bag yet in boxing is not cliche to say “anything can happen in the sport of boxing.” Upsets in boxing is not a reg yet is not rare.
Plant’s co-trainer Justin Gamber said
“Caleb will be 110% ready on November 6. Trust me when I say that there’s not a fighter on the face of the earth who doesn’t have weaknesses. Canelo is where he is because he’s earned his spot. He’s a great fighter, but he’s not a perfect fighter. He has weaknesses and we’re going to exploit them.
“I know that people are overlooking Caleb. That’s perfect for us. Caleb is just like me, because for our whole lives, when someone told us that we couldn’t do something, we love to prove them wrong. It just drives us even more.
The anticipation of Canelo vs Plant is sustaining the momentum which the sport of boxing never seems to maintain. But with the epic heavyweight bout of Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder which brought many eyes to the sport of boxing. Canelo vs Plant is maintaining those eyes and will be attracting more the closer we get to November 6th.
