Keyshawn Davis lightweight Phenom defeats Richman Ashelley by way of TKO. Ashelley quit on his stool in the end of round 4.
Davis who was the #1 amateur in America signed with Eddie Hearn Matchroom boxing and made his debut a little over a month on the Canelo Alvarez vs Avni Yildirim February 27th 2021. Manage to display what everyone has expected from this young man with knockout vs Lester Brown and now in his second outing Stopping Ashelley.
Leading up to the stoppage, Keyshawn Davis was displaying a boxing clinic. Ashelley had no answer for Davis. Davis broke Ashelley down round by round with effective aggression with great placement body shots and headshots.
Post fight interview Davis stated “He was not going to make it pass the next round, I was going to knock him out.” “I’m going to fight every other month.” Davis is a superstar in the making. It’s inevitable he will match his expectations. The question will be, does he exceed the expectations.
