Shakur Stevenson Exposes Turki Alalshikh For Not Keeping Financial Promises.

Shakur Stevenson has recently claimed that Turki Alalshikh, the influential chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, failed to uphold a financial promise made to him. According to Stevenson, Alalshikh had agreed to a specific figure for a fight, but later offered a significantly lower amount. This dispute appears to stem from negotiations surrounding a potential matchup with William Zepeda, which has sparked some controversy in the boxing community.

Stevenson has publicly expressed frustration, stating that Alalshikh promised him a certain number and then backtracked, using intermediaries—or what Stevenson called “towel boys”—to relay the revised, lower offer instead of addressing him directly. Stevenson insists he’s not ducking the fight and is open to negotiating, but he’s unwilling to accept less than what was originally discussed. This situation has fueled debates among fans and figures like Oscar De La Hoya, who suggested Stevenson might be avoiding Zepeda, a claim Stevenson firmly denies.
