Jermell Charlo “There Will Be No Ring Rust Vs Canelo”

Junior Middleweight Undisputed Champion Jermell Charlo knocks any thoughts and talks of any potential Ring Rust as he faces assuming his toughest task, Super Middleweight Undisputed Saul Canelo Alvarez September 30th, Las Vegas Nevada in the T-Mobile Arena.

“Where does the ring rust comes from, how can you be ring rust with all the sparring and training, How can you say you ring rust?” “That’s an excuse that they’re (fighters) using to justify the bad performances.” -Jermell Charlo-

Charlo Last outing was on May 14th 2022 when he defeated Brian Castano to become Undisputed. In preparation to a Bout Against Mandatory Challenger Tim Tszyu, Charlo Broke His hand which kept him out the ring. Many indicate in the boxing world, that when you been out the ring as long as Charlo (16 months) a fighter could potentially suffer from ring rust in their first fight back. Some would take a tune up before jumping in with an elite fighter, to knock off the rust, but Charlo has a logical opinion which does not align with such opinion.

Basically If you stay in gym and consistently working on your craft. There would be no such thing as “ring rust.”
